About this video
This video production project was created to highlight the experiences of participants in the NIE Apprenticeship Programme through “Day in the Life” videos. The goal was to showcase the positive aspects of the programme, such as the opportunity to earn while you learn, while also reflecting the challenges of balancing classroom learning, assessments, and on-site work. The videos also highlighted the ongoing career opportunities available within Northern Ireland Electricity Networks.
In total, we produced three full-length videos, each focusing on an individual who was currently in or had completed the programme. Each video, approximately three minutes long, was designed for the NIE website, recruitment fairs, and LinkedIn. The content was then edited into shorter, bite-sized clips for social media and other advertising channels.
To help participants who were new to being on camera convey a lot of information clearly, we used a teleprompter during filming. This ensured the videos were professional, engaging, and easy to follow.
Through on-site filming and full videography, our team captured authentic stories that showcase both the benefits and realities of the apprenticeship programme while supporting NIE’s recruitment and employer branding efforts.
